Femme Fatale # 1
When an obsessed fan of Trish Stratus appeared on RAW on October 10, 2005, little did anyone expect that someday surpass his idol and win his fourth WWE Women's Championship in less than three years.
However, in retrospect, that really surprised? Mickie James, after However, a femme fatale.
Hello, and welcome to the first edition of Femme Fatale, a column that appreciates the finer side of the wrestling world – women. Of WWE Divas to TNA Knockouts, GLORIA Joshi puroresu to girls, I'll feature the best of past, present and I'll throw up some future predictions. Secondly, they have to be lethal. The femme fatale knows how to draw their goals at risk, dangerous situations sometimes, even deadly. Moreover, it does not so obvious, but use subterfuge to achieve their hidden agenda.
No one typifies the femme fatale more than Mickie James, current champion of the Women of the WWE. From the first moment I saw her on WWE television, I knew I had enough to achieved without doubt the biggest prize in the industry. But let's look at his journey of six years for the first title reign.
Mickie Laree James was born August 31, 1979 and began his professional wrestling career at the age of 20 years as valet to the likes of Tommy Dreamer and Money July. Calling herself Alexis Laree was not content simply to be eye candy at ringside, getting physically involved in a game after another. Even Tommy Dreamer helped win the Pro KYDA Heavyweight Championship. Over time, his love for the industry led her to get in the ring and compete against established rivals such as Allison Danger, Lexie Fyfe, until the name of Alexis Laree was associated with fast-paced, exciting fight in Maryland Championship Wrestling and other associations on the East Coast independent scene.
In the years following, having proven herself more than capable of attracting fans to the shows that was booked, Alexis Laree began to win titles and cement his popularity. In 2001, he won a real battle for Southern Championship Wrestling Diva title. Less than two years later, Alexis Laree was hot property, winning numerous titles through various promotions. In fact, 2003 was a decisive year for the young professional wrestler. She not only became the first Cyberspace Wrestling Federation Women's Champion, beating the likes of Serena and April Hunter, but also beating Billy Reil to win the Junior Championship impact Wrestling Heavyweight Title! However, Alexis Laree held six different titles that year, most of them at once.
However, things were even more to come from the young femme fatale. In April 2003, Alexis Laree was set-up for a WWE match against his good friend Dawn Marie. The next day was scheduled to appear on an NWA: TNA pay per view with Julio Dinero as part of Raven's new group The Gathering in an infamous Clockwork Orange House of Fun match. It was this involvement with Raven at the national Alexis Laree really pushed more in the center of attention and awareness of wrestling fans free.
After spending several months with TNA, Alexis Laree finally took the most important step in his career and had a test match with Dawn Marie before signing a development deal with WWE in August 2003. She was immediately sent to Ohio Valley Wrestling, where he quickly stood out among the other female candidates, including Jillian Hall and Melina.
It was in OVW Alexis Laree began to evolve the character of Mickie James we are all familiar today. Her high energy, the attitude of his face was exactly what premium necessary to give life to his list was a bit bored stuck in the Diva Search. Of course it was hard not to notice his ridiculous short skirts that hid very little when the ring was recovered, pulling her hair. However, Mickie James continued to press gently on a lesbian relationship with the Women's Champion, much to the anger of Ashley, who considered Trish figure mentor.
Ashley warned Trish on Mickie, calling her a "psycho", which just led to a jealous Mickie executing a series of vicious attacks on his "rival." This culminated in a match at Royal Rumble 2006, where Mickie confessed her love for Trish, who was the special guest referee. Ultimately, Trish was forced to tell Mickie in March that it needed some time apart. Mickie Although heartbroken, she persevered and became Trish's partner team in Saturday Night's Main Event.
However, that night marked the turning point of infatuation with Trish Mickie when returned to their idol with a drop of Mick and gave him a taste of his own Stratusfaction. Mickie Trish said later that he had broken his heart, and now Trish is gonna break.
Thus it was that at Wrestlemania 22 in the largest stadium in all of them, Mickie James, once again challenged Trish Stratus for the second time this year. Women's Championship was on the line, and unlike the party of the New Year's Revolution, there is no love lost between the two competitors. It was a brutal match that saw both women take months of frustration and emotional turmoil to each other. Mickie played a psychotic role, taking sadistic pleasure in inflicting pain on his former idol. Surprisingly, halfway through the game, it was clear that the intensity of Mickie was resonating with the thousands of attendees. They began cheering with each offensive move connected with the Women's Champion Mickie James and gradually won their admiration.
Finally, it all came down to a huge powerbomb by Trish Stratus threatening to finish the epic match, but Mickie James ejected and then delivered his patented Mick kick to the head, knocking Trish semi-concious and allowing Mickie to pin and win his first WWE Championship for Women, to the delight of his new fans.
Mickie WWE career after his first title reign, of course, has been ups and downs. She lost the title in late 2006 to Lita, but his growing popularity led to a round face. Following the retirement of Trish Stratus, who once more feud with Lita in the championship belt, wrestling in a series of matches before winning the title a second time at Survivor Series. This also gave Mickie James the privilege of wrestling Lita's last match in WWE.
In 2007, as Women's Champion, Mickie James was involved in a dispute with rival OVW, Melina, which reached its climax in the first woman to Falls Count Anywhere Match in March. The following month, Mickie won her third title in a house show in Paris, only to lose it minutes later with Melina. would be the closest he came to Mickie title for most of the year.
On 26 November, however, Mickie James defeated Melina in a # 1 Contender match for the Women's Championship, held then by "The Glamazon" Beth Phoenix, the creation a title match between the two at Armageddon, a match in which Beth Phoenix successfully defended her Women's title.
